Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Animal Collection Driver and play a vital role in ensuring Wisconsin roadways are safe and clean. Due to recent growth, our firm services the southern half of the state to collect and dispose of car killed animals located within the public right of way. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policy while providing excellent customer service to our community. Responsibilities Safely operate an up fitted collection pick-up truck to collect dead animals from designated locations and municipalities. Load and unload animals efficiently while adhering to safety procedures and animal handling protocols. Follow established routes for animal collection, ensuring timely pickups and disposal. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including routine cleaning, fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation. Maintain accurate logs of pickups, disposal, route details, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with management standards. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients and community members during pickups. Perform heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocol adherence at all times. Qualifications Clean insurable driving record. Ability to use and understand mobile apps for time keeping, work orders, mapping and collection reporting. Pass a background check and ability to obtain state log-in credentials (company will assist) Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Excellent driving skills with defensive driving techniques; experience with route driving is preferred. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in community interactions. Hours are flexible and full and part time positions are available with overtime as desired. We are looking to add 2-3 drivers to meet present volume. This position will dispatch from our Caledonia facility, interviews will be conducted at our South Milwaukee offices.

Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
