Job Description
Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL A Shuttle Driver to safely transport food and related products between distribution centers and local facilities. You'll operate late-model tractor-trailers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure accurate, on-time shuttle moves supporting our wholesale foodservice operations. Responsibilities include maintaining DOT-compliant logs, securing loads, coordinating with warehouse teams, and upholding safety and customer service standards. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractor-trailers to shuttle food and related products between distribution centers and facilities Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Maintain accurate, DOT-compliant electronic logs and required transportation documentation Secure and handle loads safely using proper material handling equipment and techniques Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure on-time, efficient shuttle schedules Adhere to all company, safety, and FMCSA regulations while driving and on company property Navigate assigned routes efficiently, adjusting to traffic, weather, and dock availability Support a safety-first, customer-focused culture through professional conduct and communication Required Skills CDL A truck driving DOT and FMCSA compliance Electronic log systems (ELD) Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Backing and docking trailers Load securement Route navigation and trip planning Warehouse dock procedures Pallet jack and material handling Basic freight documentation
