Full-Time | Contract Job Overview We are hiring Autonomous Vehicle Operator to support the safe testing and operation of autonomous vehicles in Austin. In this role, you will operate vehicles on public roads, monitor vehicle performance, complete daily readiness checks, collect testing data, and provide detailed feedback that supports continued development of autonomous driving technology. This position is ideal for candidates with strong professional driving experience, excellent situational awareness, and a safety-first mindset. Experience with autonomous vehicles, defensive driving, motorsports, delivery, rideshare, fleet operations, or other professional driving environments is highly relevant. Key Responsibilities Safely and lawfully operate autonomous vehicles during on-road testing Monitor vehicle performance and technical condition during in-field operations Collect data related to autonomous system behavior and environmental conditions Complete daily vehicle preparation, safety checks, and system readiness procedures Remain alert and prepared to respond quickly to unexpected road conditions, drivers, and pedestrians Communicate professionally with riders, engineers, and operations teams Document observations and submit detailed daily reports Provide feedback that supports system improvements and operational development Maintain a distraction-free and safety-focused environment while operating vehicles Requirements Clean driving record with no DUI, drug, or alcohol-related driving offenses within the past 5 years Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility Ability to remain focused during extended periods of vehicle operation Comfortable driving in varying weather conditions and on different types of roads Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX Preferred Qualifications Autonomous vehicle testing or operations experience Professional driving experience in rideshare, delivery, fleet, transportation, or similar roles Knowledge of vehicle technology and control systems Defensive driving or advanced safe-driving training Motorsports or other performance-driving experience Schedule Available schedules include:

Tuesday-Saturday:

8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Friday-Monday:
