Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carman Welder Mechanic to join our team in Harrington, DE, 19952. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing our fleet, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various components and structures. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on rail cars and related equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding or mechanics preferred. Proven experience as a welder and mechanic, preferably in a rail or heavy equipment environment. Strong knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
