Engineer - Degree Optional I#26-19291 $23.90-$27.58 per hour Des Plaines, IL Onsite Job Description Our Client, a Medical Devise and Healthcare company, is looking for an Engineer - Degree Optional I for their Des Plaines, IL location.
Responsibilities:
As an Engineer I on the Internal Component Refurbishment Team within the Molecular Diagnostics division, you will support the evaluation, refurbishment, and qualification of spare parts for reuse in field operations. This role involves hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and collaboration to ensure refurbished components meet quality, performance, and reliability standards. This position operates within a controlled manufacturing environment, where adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential. You will follow established procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure all refurbishment and testing activities meet regulatory and quality compliance requirements. Experience working in laboratory environments under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is highly valued, particularly within molecular or diagnostic settings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute refurbishment processes, perform testing and verification activities, and drive continuous improvement in repair methods and workflows.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor's degree in engineering is strongly preferred; however, equivalent hands-on experience and technical expertise will also be considered.
