- DWED
- FY 20277 Job Description Ensures public safety and regulatory compliance by inspecting commercial vehicles, transportation infrastructure, and operational practices.
Nevada:
Nevada Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Inspector Certification- Required for commercial motor vehicle enforcement and safety inspections. Nevada DOT Level I-III Inspector Credentials
- Covers full vehicle, driver, and hazardous materials inspections. Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Inspection Endorsement
- Required for placarding and hazardous materials compliance checks. Hazardous material placarding NBIS Bridge Inspection Certification
- Required for bridge and structural inspections. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Required for safety compliance roles. OSHA safety basics ELD/Hours of Service Verification Training
- Required for electronic logging device enforcement.
Optional:
FAA airfield safety awareness, rail/transit inspection modules (if assigned). FAA compliance awareness Skills & Competencies Strong regulatory knowledge (DOT, FMCSR, OSHA). Ability to identify safety defects and violations. Proficiency with inspection tools and digital reporting platforms. Inspection tools and equipment Clear communication and conflict management.
