"Ensure public safety, infrastructure integrity, and compliance with DOT standards…" Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections aligned with FMCSR, OSHA, and DOT regulations. "Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)" Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip vehicle inspections. Verify Hours of Service, ELD data, permits, and hazardous materials placarding. Support roadways, pavement, and NBIS bridge inspection activities. "Bridge inspection standards (NBIS)" Document findings using digital reporting systems. Nevada Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Inspector Certification

• Required for commercial motor vehicle enforcement and safety inspections. Nevada DOT Level I-III Inspector Credentials
• Covers full vehicle, driver, and hazardous materials inspections. Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Inspection Endorsement
• Required for placarding and hazardous materials compliance checks. Hazardous material placarding NBIS Bridge Inspection Certification
• Required for bridge and structural inspections. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Required for safety compliance roles. OSHA safety basics ELD/Hours of Service Verification Training
• Required for electronic logging device enforcement.

Optional:

FAA airfield safety awareness, rail/transit inspection modules (if assigned). FAA compliance awareness Skills & Competencies Strong regulatory knowledge (DOT, FMCSR, OSHA).
