Job Description

SUMMARY:
Honda of Chantilly is seeking a certified Evening Virginia Safety & Emissions Inspector to join our dynamic service team. As an inspector, you will be responsible for conducting state-required safety and emissions inspections for a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet Virginia's regulatory standards. You will work closely with our service advisors and customers to provide a high level of service, ensuring vehicle safety and environmental compliance.

Bonus Programs Responsibilities:
Perform Virginia State Safety and Emissions inspections on cars, trucks, and SUVs in compliance with Virginia state laws. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, tires, exhaust systems, and emissions controls. Diagnose any issues or deficiencies in vehicles during inspections and provide clear, accurate reports. Advise customers on required repairs or adjustments to pass safety and emissions inspections. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records in accordance with state regulations. Provide excellent customer service by communicating inspection results clearly and professionally. Stay current with changes in Virginia's inspection laws and requirements. Collaborate with the service team to recommend any necessary repairs to ensure the vehicle passes inspection..
Qualifications:
Current Virginia State Safety & Emissions Inspector license. Previous experience in vehicle safety and emissions inspections. Strong understanding of Virginia State Inspection standards and regulations. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot safety or emissions-related issues. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. High school diploma or equivalent; automotive training or certification is a plus. Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
