We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Control Clerk to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The Production Control Clerk is responsible for various production controls including tracking inventory levels, use of materials, all aspects of shipping and receiving, and accurate record keeping. Duties also include verifying and recording incoming materials, preparing inventory, and arranging for the transportation of products. This position also performs driving duties to vendor locations in CA. Responsibilities Packaging Package customer orders, outside vendor service orders, sales samples and sales literature for shipment Maintain packaging supplies and Packaging Area in compliance with ERG's 6S standards Place in inventory stores all packaged orders with future ship dates Shipping Create all required shipping documentation in MRP for all outgoing customer orders, service orders, sales samples and literature Manage Certification documentation, ensuring all required signatures have been obtained, and included with customer shipments as required Pull all materials from shelves for ship-from-stock orders Manage all activities related to accurate and timely shipping of all export orders Create and maintain electronic files of all export documentation as required Maintain photos and other visual shipment records to minimize liability for freight damage and improve shipping quality Driving for vendor deliveries on a semi-weekly basis or as required. Receiving Receive all inbound small-parcel and freight shipments at ERG's Oakland facility. Receive POs, assemble Receipt Package and provide to Accounts Payable Schedule deliveries with customers and suppliers during ERG business hours Receive all Inter-Plant transfers of foam from Sparks facility Perform inter-plant transfers in VISUAL of received materials from ERG sister-facilities Establish and maintain communication on received materials with company employees (e.g. purchase requisition items, transportation manifests) Inventory Control/Warehouse Operations Responsible for accurate and timely put away of all received materials Responsible for accurate storage of all lot-tracked raw and finished ERG product in its correct location in the warehouse Responsible for maintaining 2-bin system for non-stock Facilities and Maintenance and Production Operations material Responsible for all vending machine operations- snack and drink supply order management, machine re-stocking Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency, some college preferred. Supply Chain Management certification or coursework, preferred 3+ years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Export Shipping and Export Documentation compliance 2+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems Forklift certified (ok if lapsed) Valid CA driver's license with clean motor vehicle history Must understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to domestic and international shipping and receiving Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes in the work environment Strong negotiation skills and communication skills with customers and vendors Proficient in developing documents and spreadsheets using all standard Microsoft applications Excellent computer skills; ability to effectively use word processing software, spreadsheet analysis, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Internet, etc. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image verbally, in writing and in person Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are a must Must be able to drive company van/box truck regularly and have a clean motor vehicle report. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time in the local region.
