Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Control Technician to ensure the safe and efficient management of traffic flow at construction sites and work zones. In this role, you will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic, setting up safety barriers, and maintaining compliance with safety protocols to protect workers and the public. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth operations on construction projects, particularly those involving civil infrastructure development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale highway maintenance, road construction, and infrastructure improvement initiatives while adhering to strict safety standards. Duties Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barricades, and flagging equipment in accordance with approved traffic control plans. Direct traffic safely around construction zones, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum safety for workers and motorists.. Assist with the installation of temporary traffic signals and pavement markings during paving or road repair activities. Perform manual handling of materials and heavy lifting tasks using appropriate techniques to prevent injury. Support highway maintenance activities by working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Qualifications Prior experience in traffic control for work zones or construction sites is highly preferred. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, and front loader truck operation. Familiarity with road construction processes such as paving, asphalt work, welding, and civil infrastructure projects. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and outdoor work over extended periods. Experience working on highway or road construction projects in a civil infrastructure role is a plus. Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and directing traffic efficiently. Pay:
