Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Parking Attendant is responsible for assisting with daily parking operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive experience for guests, staff, vendors, and event partners. This role monitors parking areas, assists visitors, enforces parking rules, supports event-related traffic flow, and works closely with security and facility operations to maintain smooth and professional parking services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor parking lots and structures to ensure efficient use of spaces and smooth traffic flow.
- Assist guests with parking guidance, directions, and inquiries.
- Issue and verify parking permits, passes, and event credentials as required.
- Enforce parking rules and regulations; report violations and incidents as needed.
- Provide customer assistance, including resolving parking-related concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support event parking operations by directing vehicles, managing lot availability, and assisting with traffic control.
- Conduct routine inspections of parking areas, equipment, lighting, and signage to ensure safety and readiness.
- Report maintenance issues such as malfunctioning gates, damaged signs, or lighting problems.
- Maintain accurate records of parking usage, incidents, and operational logs. Communicate with security, facilities, and event staff to coordinate parking needs.
- Assist with emergency procedures within parking areas when necessary.
QUALIFICATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in customer service, security, parking operations, or event support preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, helpful, and professional in high‑traffic or stressful situations.
- Basic computer or handheld device skills for logging information or issuing passes.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Knowledge of traffic flow principles or parking equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
