Education/Experience:
High school diploma 1 year experience in Outside Golf Club services or in Golf Club Hospitality. Excellent oral communication skills In-depth knowledge of the game of golf Highly developed interpersonal skills High level of stamina to work on feet for extended period
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English language effectively. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to management and the club's Members. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, members, and management.
Reasoning Ability & Adaptive Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of timeclock systems The ability to efficiently learn and use new software programs.
Other Skills and Abilities:
The employee is regularly required to drive a golf cart. The employee must be able to navigate the steering, braking and overall general maneuvering of an electric cart vehicle. Candidates must have a warm, friendly demeanor to make our members and guests feel at home. Punctuality is important to the success of the staff operation, especially for opening procedures. Work Environment:
Primarily works in the Club's Cart Barn and Bag Storage. The noise level in these work environments is moderately quiet. Essential Responsibilities Golf Cart Fleet Management — maintaining a fleet of 60 golf carts, daily rotation of carts to ensure proper usage, bi-monthly maintenance Of batteries and tires, and overall cleanliness and detailing Of all carts daily. Range Management — this includes setting up in the morning, assisting members and guests before the Start Of Play, making Sure the range is organized in a tidy manner, picking/ cleaning Of all practice balls daily, and breaking down everything before the end of the day. Member Services — greeting members & guests at their vehicles or in cart staging, engaging each member & guest with a smile and polite communication, assisting them in before heading to the range (clean up clubs, wet towels, etc.), meeting them at the turn to restock any items they need, greeting them after they finish. Inventory of supplies — you will be asked to monitor the inventory levels Of such items as tees, scorecards, pencils, towels, and bottled water to ensure that we do not nan out Of these frequently used items. Comrnunicate with the maintenance team and professional staff on a daily basis to ensure proper setup Maintain a neat, organized and clean area in the cart barn, staÅng area, and practice facility Assisting in the execution of speclal events With the golf professional staff Be well-groomed and in proper uniform. Regular and reliable attendance. Leadership — Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote, and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers Member Service — Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/ external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers Safety — Comply With established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
