$13/hour General Seasonal Team Responsibilities All Shine seasonal team members are expected to provide friendly and professional customer service while helping create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for guests. Seasonal employees may be asked to assist with event setup, cleanup, and other duties as needed. Team members must arrive on time, follow all Columbus Botanical Garden policies and procedures, communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members, and maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout each shift. Qualifications & Requirements Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment. Must provide friendly and professional customer service. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. All positions require working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform light lifting may be required. Bartenders must meet all applicable age and legal requirements for alcohol service. Schedule & Availability Shine operates on select evenings throughout the holiday season. Seasonal team members should be available to work evening and weekend shifts during the event season. Applicants with strong availability throughout the season will be given preference. Shine operates from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Seasonal team members are expected to be available one hour before and after the event for opening and closing duties, with typical shifts running from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Training & Orientation All seasonal employees will be required to attend a staff orientation and complete position-specific training prior to working their first shift. Position Descriptions:

Concession Stand Attendant The Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for providing efficient and friendly food and beverage service to Shine guests. Responsibilities include preparing and serving menu items, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, keeping the concession area clean and stocked, and assisting with opening and closing procedures. Attendants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service during high-volume periods. Bartender The Bartender is responsible for providing friendly and responsible beverage service to guests at Shine. Responsibilities include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, verifying identification and following all applicable alcohol service laws and Garden policies, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, monitoring inventory, and completing opening and closing duties. Bartenders should be professional, efficient, and comfortable working in a busy event environment. Ticketing Attendant The Ticketing Attendant is often one of the first points of contact for Shine guests and is responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient arrival experience. Responsibilities include scanning and verifying tickets, assisting guests with entry questions or ticketing concerns, directing guests as needed, and helping maintain an organized flow of guests at the entrance. Ticketing Attendants should be friendly, dependable, and comfortable assisting large groups of guests. Parking Attendant The Parking Attendant is responsible for helping guests arrive and depart safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include directing vehicles to appropriate parking areas, assisting with traffic flow, providing clear directions to guests, and communicating with the Parking Lead and event staff regarding parking conditions or concerns. Attendants must remain alert, work well outdoors in varying weather conditions, and prioritize guest and vehicle safety at all times. Gift Shop Attendant The Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting guests with holiday shopping and merchandise purchases. Responsibilities include operating the point-of-sale system, processing transactions accurately, answering guest questions, restocking and organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and welcoming retail space. Attendants may also assist with inventory and opening and closing procedures. S'mores Attendant The S'mores Attendant helps create a fun and memorable experience for guests at the S'mores station. Responsibilities include distributing and restocking supplies, assisting and engaging with guests, maintaining a clean and organized area, and monitoring the space to ensure all safety procedures are followed. Attendants should be attentive and proactive in helping maintain a safe, enjoyable experience for guests of all ages. Igloo Village Attendant The Igloo Village Attendant is responsible for overseeing the Igloo Village experience and ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming experience. Responsibilities include checking in guests, assisting with reservations and general questions, monitoring the Igloo Village area, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and communicating guest needs or concerns to the appropriate event staff. Attendants should be personable, attentive, and focused on providing exceptional guest service. Special Events & Crafts Attendant The Special Events & Crafts Attendant supports interactive activities, crafts, and special experiences offered throughout Shine. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down activity areas, preparing and restocking supplies, welcoming and assisting guests, providing instructions for activities, and maintaining clean and organized spaces. Attendants should be enthusiastic, patient, and comfortable engaging with children and families while helping create a fun and memorable holiday experience.
