Job Description
Job Overview Lahti's Jeep is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Part-Time Lot & Facilities Attendant. This is an active, hands-on labor position involving vehicle movement, property maintenance, parts delivery, cleaning, and minor facility repairs. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping a property clean, organized, safe, and presentable. This person must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, completing physical tasks, and shifting between different responsibilities throughout the day. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain the general appearance and condition of dealership buildings, parking lots, vehicle storage areas, and surrounding property Keep vehicle lots organized, clean, and properly arranged Move and park customer, inventory, and company vehicles safely Assist with locating vehicles and preparing them for dealership use Deliver and pick up automotive parts, supplies, documents, and other dealership materials Pick up trash and debris and empty exterior and interior waste containers Sweep, clean, and organize work areas, storage spaces, sidewalks, entrances, and other common areas Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including leaves, snow, ice, and general outdoor cleanup Perform light facility maintenance and minor repairs Help receive, move, organize, and store dealership supplies and materials Assist other departments with physical or property-related tasks as needed Promptly report safety hazards, property damage, equipment problems, or repairs requiring a licensed professional Examples of Light Facility Repairs Light repair duties may include but not limited to: Replacing light bulbs and air filters Completing minor touch-up painting Patching small holes or cosmetic wall damage Tightening loose handles, hinges, shelving, and hardware Lubricating doors, locks, and other moving components Assembling shelving, furniture, signs, and storage equipment Installing simple brackets, hooks, signs, or similar items Performing minor cleanup following leaks or property damage Completing other basic repairs that do not require a licensed electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, or other licensed contractor Qualifications Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Must meet the eligibility requirements of the dealership's automobile insurance carrier Dependable transportation to and from work Ability and willingness to perform physical labor throughout the workday Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, reach, kneel, climb stairs, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to safely operate dealership vehicles, including larger SUVs and pickup trucks Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments without constant supervision Dependable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail Basic familiarity with hand tools and minor property repairs is preferred Prior automotive, landscaping, maintenance, delivery, warehouse, or custodial experience is helpful but not required Benefits and Employment Classification This is a part-time position. It is not currently eligible for company-sponsored health insurance, dental insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, or other benefits reserved for eligible full-time employees. The employee will receive all benefits, leave, and protections required by applicable federal and Massachusetts law, including Massachusetts earned sick time and applicable Paid Family and Medical Leave coverage.
