Sales Manager / Service Manager / General Manager Position Summary The Valet Attendant / Swap Driver plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient movement of vehicles throughout the dealership. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance of dealership inventory, assisting customers, transporting vehicles between dealerships, and supporting both the Sales and Service Departments with daily operations. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and a positive, team-first attitude. Primary ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Greet every customer with professionalism and enthusiasm. Assist customers with parking and retrieving their vehicles. Escort customers to the appropriate department when needed. Maintain a clean and welcoming dealership entrance. Vehicle Transportation Transport vehicles safely between dealerships for dealer trades (swaps). Pick up and deliver customer vehicles as directed. Drive vehicles to auctions, body shops, detail centers, DMV, and vendor locations. Ensure all vehicles are driven responsibly and in accordance with traffic laws. Inventory Management Keep the dealership lot organized at all times. Move inventory as directed by management. Ensure vehicles are parked according to dealership standards. Check incoming vehicles for damage and report any concerns immediately. Maintain proper fuel levels on inventory when requested. Sales & Service Support Assist sales staff with locating and staging vehicles for deliveries. Assist service advisors by moving vehicles efficiently through the service process. Wash, fuel, or prepare vehicles when necessary. Help maintain clean customer parking areas and service lanes. Vehicle Appearance Remove stickers, shipping materials, and protective coverings when required. Ensure inventory remains clean and presentable. Perform basic quality inspections before deliveries or transfers. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate swap paperwork and vehicle logs. Obtain signatures and required documentation during dealer trades. Report mileage, fuel levels, and any damage after transporting vehicles. Qualifications Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred Must be insurable under dealership insurance policy Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Strong communication and customer service skills Professional appearance Reliable, punctual, and dependable Team-oriented attitude Preferred Skills Prior dealership experience preferred but not required Knowledge of dealership operations Excellent time management Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using GPS navigation and dealership software Physical Requirements Frequent walking throughout the dealership Standing for extended periods Entering and exiting vehicles repeatedly throughout the day Driving for extended periods during dealer trades Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Performance Expectations Employees in this position are expected to: Maintain a clean and organized dealership lot. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
