My name is Kayla Tamez, a case manager at Berry Family Services. We are a Medicaid waiver program for individuals with IDD/Special Needs in the HCS program. I am searching for a Community First Choice (CFC) and Respite caregiver in the area of Murphy, TX. The client is a 42 year-old male diagnosed with Down Syndrome and Mild Intellectual disabilities. The schedule is TBD and can be arranged between the family and the attendant. The hourly pay for the CFC position is $15 an hour . The responsibilities include assisting said client with activities of daily living including, but not limited to: cleaning, bathing, hygiene, transferring. Additionally, the caregiver is expected to work with the client on other daily activities as needed. The attendant must also provide respite care to the clients family as needed. The hourly pay for respite care is $12 an hour and will only be paid for the time attendant is providing respite care to the client. The potential candidate must complete a "contractor" application with Berry Family Services; including a background check. Once the application is successfully completed, applicant will be considered a "contractor" and able start providing services with our agency.
