Community Center Attendant Tomball, TX 77375 Apply Overview Position Type Part Time Apply Community Center Attendant The City of Tomball is accepting applications for a Community Center Attendant's role within the big picture of the City's overall success. This position will ensure consistent staff presence during evening and weekend hours, aiding in the planning, coordination, and supervision of indoor recreational activities. Emphasizes custodial tasks, rental preparation, and impeccable customer service for both internal events and external rentals. The focus will be largely on setup, supervision, and customer interaction rather than extensive program planning. The Community Center Attendant functions include but are not limited to the following:
    Facility Supervision:
    Provide staff coverage during evenings and weekends. Monitor renters and guests to ensure compliance with Community Center policies and procedures. Assist the Community Center Manager and Assistant with recreational programming and daily operations.
      Event Setup & Preparation:
      Prepare rooms for rentals and City activities by arranging tables, chairs, and equipment. Ensure facilities are ready for daily programs, events, and visitors.
        Rental Support:
        Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting renters before, during, and after events. Monitor rentals to ensure facility rules are followed, address customer needs, and perform clerical tasks such as scheduling, check-in/check-out, and documenting rental feedback.
          Facility Maintenance:
          Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and general cleaning to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Set up, break down, and rearrange rooms as needed, and report maintenance issues or equipment concerns.
            Equipment Management:
            Maintain and organize Community Center equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and available for programs and rentals.
              Team Support:
              Contribute to the overall success of the Community Center by performing other related duties as assigned.

              • Proficiency in handling and monitoring a diverse group of people, ensuring center rules are adhered to.
              • Awareness of the importance of setup details in creating a conducive environment for activities.
              • Physical capability to perform custodial duties and setup tasks.

              Hiring range
