Job Specifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid Arkansas driver's license Must be able to read, write, and have math skills Must verify that within the past (3) three years, the driver has had no more than one (1) moving traffic violation, (has had no driving while intoxicated (DWI), driving under the influence (DUI), or other drug convictions, and has not been involved in any at-fault accidents.) Must pass all the Agency's physical examinations, including drug, and alcohol tests. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be insurable. Must have genuine concern for older people and the disabled and be sensitive to their needs and problems.
Position Summary:
Responsible for packaging and delivering home-delivered meals to approved clients safely and promptly. Report to the assigned workstation. Perform a daily pre-trip inspection of the vehicle to be sure it is in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition. If applicable, pick-up bulk food, ensuring all needed items for the meal are included. Deliver to the specified location(s) as soon as possible to retain proper temperature at serving time. Must be able to load and unload food containers weighing up to 40 lbs. safely and minimize spillage. Package individual meals in proper size containers and load them into approved delivery containers. Separate hot and cold items and use supplemental heat sources or ice where appropriate. Deliver a complete meal to approved home-delivered meal clients promptly. Return all bulk food containers and home delivery equipment to the kitchen or center, clean and ready for use the next day. Keep accurate, complete, and timely records, including daily vehicle inspections.
