$19.00-21.00/hour | Full-Time | Sacramento, CA | Monday-Friday | Split Shift About the
Role:
Provide safe and reliable transportation for students in a school-based setting. This role is responsible for ensuring student safety during transit, maintaining vehicle compliance, and supporting students with diverse learning, social, and behavioral needs. You will play a key role in helping students access their educational programs and activities. Willing to work a split shift. 1st Shift - 4AM/5:30AM-9AM; 2nd Shift 1:30PM-6

What You'll Do:
Safely operate school vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations Monitor and supervise students during transportation to ensure a safe environment Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, and securing students, including wheelchair securement when needed Complete daily logs including attendance, behavior reports, and fuel tracking Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs Transport students to and from school, appointments, and school-related activities Run program-related errands such as package deliveries or additional route needs Utilize GPS or maps to ensure efficient and timely routes
What We Are Looking For:
Commitment to student safety and well-being Patient, calm, and attentive demeanor Reliable, punctual, and professional Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage and supervise students during transport Flexible and able to adapt to schedule or route changes Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols consistently Comfortable working with students with diverse needs
Must Have:
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record Experience working with students in school or treatment settings DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance Ability to read and follow maps or GPS directions Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred:
Experience transporting students with special needs Two-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience CPR or First Aid certification
