In Person | 11246 Wiles Rd, Coral Springs, FL 33076 Join Our Team! Kids In Motion is seeking a caring, dependable, and safety-minded Aftercare Teacher / Van Driver to join our team. This position combines supervising and engaging school-age children with safely transporting children to and from school and approved activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is responsible and patient, has strong communication skills, and takes pride in providing a safe, positive, and engaging aftercare experience. Benefits Starting pay of $15.00 per hour Monday-Friday schedule No weekends Supportive and collaborative work environment Professional development opportunities Opportunities for career growth and advancement Hands-on experience working with school-age children Key ResponsibilitiesAftercare & Classroom Responsibilities Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, positive, and welcoming environment. Assist children with homework and age-appropriate academic activities. Lead and participate in games, arts and crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and group projects. Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, confidence, and respect. Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging aftercare environment. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members. Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and activities. Communicate appropriately with parents and staff regarding children's daily activities and needs. Follow all Florida childcare licensing regulations, safety procedures, and company policies. Van Driver Responsibilities Must be at least 21 years old to serve as a driver. Safely transport children to and from school and approved activities. Conduct required vehicle safety checks before transportation. Follow established transportation routes, schedules, and safety procedures. Ensure children are properly supervised and safely secured during transportation. Maintain a clean and safe childcare vehicle. Follow all applicable Florida transportation and childcare regulations. Communicate any transportation concerns or incidents promptly to management. Provide dependable transportation support as needed by the center. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Florida 45-Hour DCF Child Care Training completed. At least 21 years old for the Van Driver portion of the position. Valid Florida Driver's License with a safe driving record. Ability to meet all applicable requirements for transporting children. Authorized to work in the United States. Professional English communication skills. Reliable, responsible, patient, and energetic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Passion for working with children and supporting their development. Ability to safely supervise children both in the classroom and during transportation. Preferred Qualifications Previous childcare, teaching, tutoring, camp, recreation, or youth program experience. At least one (1) year of experience working with school-age children ages 5-11. Previous experience driving children or working in a childcare transportation role. Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. CPR/First Aid Certification. Experience assisting with educational, recreational, or group activities. Join the Kids In Motion Family!
