Duties Safely operate a box truck or van, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs across designated areas. Assist with warehouse operations by moving goods, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams using mobile devices to confirm routes, report issues, or update delivery statuses. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, weight handling in the workplace, and the operation of manual transmission vehicles. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong background in commercial driving and warehouse operations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or vans preferred. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and the operation of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices to ensure compliance and safety on the road. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks related to moving goods regularly. Excellent organizational skills for route planning, load management, and documentation accuracy.
