Duties Safely operate a variety of vehicles including shuttle buses, delivery vans, limousines, and paratransit vehicles to transport passengers or cargo efficiently. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance needs are addressed before each journey. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the trip. Load and unload cargo or luggage, often requiring heavy lifting and proper handling techniques. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate clearly with dispatchers and passengers using effective communication skills to coordinate routes and address any issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment for everyone involved. Experience Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial driving regulations is essential. Experience operating buses, limousines, or other specialized vehicles such as school buses or paratransit vans is advantageous. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact professionally with customers and team members. Demonstrated ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and handle minor repairs when needed. Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently during cargo handling or vehicle loading processes. A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; commercial driver's license (CDL) certification is a plus but not always required depending on the vehicle.
