Job Description

Do you love working with kids? We would love working with you! We are looking for an on-call driver to help gets kids from school to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Siouxland when there is an issue with our daily drivers. This is an on-call, as-needed position with no guaranteed hours. The On-Call Van Driver will provide coverage when one of our regularly scheduled drivers is unavailable. Advance notice will typically be provided when possible, although same-day coverage requests may occasionally occur. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Siouxland is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Siouxland Provides:
After school programs and activities A Summer Day Program, Monday - Friday Snacks and meals are free for all Club members A safe place to learn and grow Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences Hope and opportunity Job Summary This position is for the 26/27 school year. Responsible for transporting school aged children from school to the Boys & Girls Club of Siouxland in a 15 passenger van. A valid drivers license is required and no special endorsements are needed.
MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY-THURSDAY 2
00PM-4:00PM
AND FRIDAY 12
00PM-2:00PM. Transport Boys & Girls Club members from Sioux City schools to Boys & Girls Club Drive regular routes on an as-needed basis. Obey traffic laws. Supervise riders while on the vehicle and inform Club staff of any behavior problems. Report accidents or other traffic disruptions to a central dispatcher. Assist passengers if necessary. Check the vehicle tires, lights, and oil and do other basic maintenance. Follow state and federal transit regulations.
Pay Frequency:
Biweekly A valid driver's license is required for this position . Candidates must pass a criminal background check and have a good driving record.
