October 1, 2026 Job Overview This is a 1099 independent contractor position with Talaria Transport, LLC. This is not W-2 employment and not USPS employment . We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented contractor to operate a contracted mail delivery route based out of the Warba, MN Post Office . The route runs Monday through Saturday, with Sundays and USPS-observed holidays off. The contractor picks up mail at the post office, cases and loads mail as required, follows the assigned delivery route, delivers letters and parcels accurately and safely, and returns to the post office when the route is complete. This route is best suited for someone who enjoys working independently, has a reliable route-ready vehicle, and can handle a consistent rural delivery route.

Monday-Saturday Sundays and USPS-observed holidays off Start time: 8:15 AM Approximate scheduled route miles: 162.3 miles per day Approximate delivery boxes: 292 Vehicle required: 120 cubic feet of usable enclosed cargo space Vehicle Requirements Contractors must provide their own reliable, insured, route-ready vehicle with at least 120 cubic feet of usable enclosed cargo space . A large SUV, minivan, cargo van, or covered pickup may work if it has enough usable enclosed space for mail trays and parcels. Small cars and compact SUVs are not suitable for this route. Vehicle must be reliable, insured, weather-protected, and suitable for daily rural mail delivery in Minnesota road and weather conditions. Responsibilities Report to the Warba Post Office as scheduled Case, load, transport, and deliver mail and parcels Follow the assigned route and delivery sequence Safely handle mail trays and parcels up to 70 lbs Complete required scans and delivery procedures Return to the post office after route completion Protect and secure the mail at all times Communicate promptly if delayed, lost, or unable to complete any part of the route Qualifications Valid driver's license At least 2 years of licensed driving experience Personally owned vehicle meeting route requirements Proof of vehicle insurance Ability to obtain a current 5-year driving record Ability to complete USPS clearance/background screening Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Comfortable working independently Able to complete the full route each assigned service day Important Notes This is a 1099 independent contractor role . Contractors are responsible for fuel, maintenance, insurance, and operating expenses. This route is paid by the day, not by the hour. The workday ends when the route is fully completed.
