SHORT-HOUR SUBSTITUTE VAN DRIVER

We offer in house van certification.

Hours of Work:

Varies based on available trips (Minimum of 5 Hours). There is a current AM/PM route on days when school is in session.

Pay Rate:

Substitute Driver Wage per OAPSE Bargaining Agreement - $16.00 per hour Job responsibilities: Responsible for safely transporting students or passengers as assigned. Duties include following assigned routes, maintaining a safe and clean vehicle, assisting students as needed, and complying with all applicable safety and transportation policies. Must be physically capable of safely assisting and supervising students, loading and carrying supplies or goods, and remaining active throughout the workday. The position may require walking, standing, bending, lifting, and responding promptly to situations in which a student may leave or run from the assigned area. Requirements include a valid driver's license, current annual physical examination, safe driving record, valid van certifications, and reliable attendance. The employee is also subject to annual drug testing in accordance with Board policy and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
