This energetic position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on community members by ensuring their mobility needs are met with professionalism and care. As a key member of our transportation team, you'll be responsible for safely operating a wheelchair-accessible van, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient route schedules. Your dedication will help enhance independence and quality of life for our clients while enjoying a dynamic work environment. Duties Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible van to transport clients within the designated metro area, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times Load and unload mobility equipment or personal belongings with proper lifting techniques to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety standards Follow scheduled routes accurately, managing time effectively to meet client needs and service expectations Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and dispatchers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs Complete trip logs, route documentation, and incident reports accurately for record keeping Skills Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to assisting clients of diverse needs Experience driving commercial vehicles such as box trucks or vans; familiarity with manual transmission preferred Prior delivery driver or courier experience demonstrating reliability and punctuality Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely using proper techniques and equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts if certified Knowledge of route driving within urban or metro environments, including navigation skills and time management Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification is a plus Experience operating vehicles equipped with manual transmissions and handling load & unload procedures efficiently Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a meaningful difference!
