Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Driver to join our team. This role involves providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation services to clients requiring medical or personal transportation assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in shuttle driving, delivery, bus driving, or limousine services, along with excellent customer service and communication skills. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community by ensuring clients reach their destinations safely and comfortably. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including vans, shuttles, buses, or limousines to transport clients to medical appointments, hospitals, or other destinations. Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure safety and comfort. Follow all traffic laws and company policies while adhering to scheduled routes and timelines. Communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent customer service and address any special needs or concerns. Complete required documentation related to trips, mileage logs, and client interactions accurately. Perform routine safety checks before each shift and report any vehicle issues promptly. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as loading mobility devices or luggage. Qualifications Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, limousine service, or similar roles such as school bus or paratransit driving. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for buses). Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients. Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and maintain physical stamina for daily operations. Good maintenance awareness to identify vehicle issues early and ensure safety standards are met. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and patience when assisting clients. Prior experience in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
