Job Description

Job Summary :
As the Trauma Program Manager for our Level 1 Trauma Program, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of trauma care delivery. This role demands a leader with a strong clinical background, exceptional managerial skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for the enhancement and growth of the trauma program in alignment with organizational goals and standards. Provide leadership and guidance to the trauma care team, ensuring collaboration, effective communication, and adherence to best practices in trauma care. Drive initiatives to maintain and improve the quality of trauma care services, regularly evaluating protocols, procedures, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including but not limited to state, federal, and accreditation agency requirements. Oversee the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to support efficient and effective trauma care delivery. Develop and implement educational programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in trauma care. Foster collaborations with other departments, healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to optimize patient care and outcomes. Analyze data related to trauma care, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance patient care and safety. Serve as an advocate for trauma patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and promoting a patient-centered care approach.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Minimun 6 years of professional clinical experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level, required.
Education:
Bachelor degree required; Master degree preferred as an advanced practice provider. Graduate from either an accredited school of Nursing, an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licenses /
Certifications:
Current New York State Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or MD license,
Current BLS and ACLS Certification Other:
Special Requirements:
Strong understanding of quality care protocols, improvement methodologies, and regulatory requirements Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team effectively. Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of data to drive quality improvement initiatives. The ability to develop and execute strategic plans for program development and enhancement.
