Working as a CT Technologist in this high-acuity environment provides a valuable chance for professional growth. You'll gain hands-on exposure in a Level 1 Trauma Center, working collaboratively with expert teams and utilizing advanced imaging equipment. This assignment allows you to broaden your technical knowledge, hone patient communication skills, and adapt to various leadership and workplace practices, ensuring a robust addition to your healthcare resume.
Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment with flexible scheduling
Key Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to start) Injection therapy certification listed on NYS license (or willingness to complete during orientation) American Heart Association BLS certification Minimum of 2 years' CT experience Prior experience in a Level 1
Trauma Center Preferred:
Familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment
Core Responsibilities:
Confirm patient identity and verify exams in strict adherence to safety protocols Prepare, educate, and position patients for CT scans, employing safe patient handling techniques Coordinate with physicians to ensure quality diagnostic imaging Insert IVs when required for procedures Maintain accurate patient records within EPIC, ensuring proper image management in PACS Keep imaging areas clean and adhere to facility safety standards
