As part of this travel assignment, you'll care for patients across all age groups, managing everything from minor illnesses to life-threatening emergencies. This role offers a rewarding challenge for experienced emergency nurses seeking to deepen their knowledge and build on their expertise. Between shifts, unwind and explore the scenic surroundings, indulge in local cuisine, or take weekend trips to nearby beaches and mountain escapes.
Schedule/Hours:
Variable schedule; flexibility required to adapt to changing patient needs and Emergency Department flow.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients, considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs. Develop, review, and update individualized plans of care based on multi-source data and ongoing reassessments. Skillfully administer medications and interventions following safety protocols and hospital policy. Deliver patient and family education using tailored resources (e.g., Krames). Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes with accuracy and professionalism. Collaborate in multidisciplinary care planning, participate in emergency protocols, and support patient rights. Follow infection control, safety guidelines, and National Patient Safety Goals. Demonstrate proficiency in ED-specific practices, patient flow management, and high-risk medication administration. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and
PALS/ENPC
certifications (TNCC/ATCN/CEN preferred).
Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing. Significant clinical experience in ER nursing; ability to care for diverse, high-acuity populations. Proficiency in rapid assessment and prioritization under pressure. Strong team communication and patient advocacy skills.
