Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Travel Discover a vibrant travel nursing opportunity in the heart of California's Central Valley, with Lamont serving as your gateway to diverse landscapes and exciting local attractions. This travel assignment offers exposure to a dynamic interventional radiology environment, with direct involvement in cutting-edge minimally invasive procedures. Collaborating with expert Interventional Radiologists and a supportive nursing team, you'll expand your clinical expertise while learning new practices and workflows at two highly regarded campuses. The experience of floating between facilities fosters adaptability, encourages fresh perspectives, and adds depth to your resume.
Schedule:
13-week assignment Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts On-call responsibilities: primary and secondary call rotation (typically one week on, one week off) Rotating call on weekends and holidays (one major and one minor holiday per assignment) Call response time: 30 minutes
Responsibilities:
Assist with biopsies, drainages, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, catheter/line placements, nephrostomy, PICC/midline insertions, gastrostomy tubes, cryoablation, and more Support Interventional Radiologists during minimally invasive procedures and patient positioning Float between facilities (6.5 miles apart) as needed Perform tasks in additional modalities, such as CT and Ultrasound, to assist physicians
Qualifications:
Active California RN license required 2 or more years of nursing experience, including interventional radiology Current ACLS and BLS certifications Ability to pass Procedural Sedation competency and EKG exam Experience with EMR systems: Radnet, Merge Unity, Cerner Flexibility to adapt to varying daily case loads and settings
