Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Discover the beauty of southern Idaho while making a true impact in an engaging healthcare setting. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant small city surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, from rolling farmland to the dramatic Snake River Canyon. With proximity to awe-inspiring parks and outdoor adventures, Jerome is an ideal location for professionals eager to experience both personal and career growth during their travel assignment. For a 13-week travel contract, an experienced Occupational Therapist is needed in an acute inpatient and rehab hospital environment. Exposure to diverse patient populations and collaboration with experienced healthcare professionals will enrich your practice, broaden your skill set, and offer firsthand insight into varied workplace dynamics. You'll return home with new perspectives, leadership experience, and a stronger CV—plus the memories of exploring Idaho's rugged scenery during your off hours.
Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour shifts per week (07:30-18:00) Rotating weekends; potential for weekends as regular shift depending on assignment Holiday coverage as needed Department-specific orientation: 2-3 days (initial M-F 8-hour shifts for onboarding)
Qualifications:
Active OT state licensure At least 1 year of licensed experience in an acute inpatient or rehab setting BLS certification Comfort with EPIC EMR and the ability to cover acute inpatient, rehab, and potentially ICU areas Open to first-time travelers (as long as experience requirements are met)
Primary Duties:
Manage a caseload of 10-12 adult patients daily in acute inpatient and rehab settings Treat a variety of diagnoses: ortho (total joints), neuro (strokes), some brain injuries, and general ICU Collaborate with rehab aides and leadership; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings Adapt to a flexible schedule and dress code; specific scrub colors provided upon hire What's in it for you?
