As an Operating Room RN, you'll deliver comprehensive perioperative care in a vital critical access hospital environment. Taking on this travel assignment provides a unique opportunity to work across the perioperative continuum—pre-op, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia recovery—enhancing both your skill set and professional confidence. Exposure to diverse clinical practices and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will enrich your perspective, elevating your nursing career.
Schedule:
Travelers start on Wednesdays During orientation week for 48-hour contracts, 36 hours are guaranteed (midweek start) On-call rotation: one night weekly and every fourth weekend, with a 30-minute response requirementKey Responsibilities:
Deliver perioperative nursing care across all surgical phases Function in multiple roles: circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU RN Uphold AORN standards, maintain precise documentation, and participate in surgical safety protocols Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teamsRequired Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Current Vermont or multi-state RN license Minimum two years of perioperative nursing experience Active BLS from the American Heart Association Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking Flexibility and willingness to cross-trainBenefits & Travel Perks:
