Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Step into a vital and rewarding role as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, where your experience and dedication will directly support patients through surgical procedures. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a skilled surgical team and utilize state-of-the-art technology in a high-acuity environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an operating room setting Proficient in perioperative nursing, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Strong critical thinking and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating room and surgical instruments according to established protocols Monitor patients' vital signs and support anesthesiology staff before, during, and after procedures Maintain strict adherence to sterilization guidelines and safety standards Communicate clearly with surgeons, surgical technologists, and support staff to anticipate needs throughout procedures Effectively document and report patient care activities and outcomes Provide post-anesthesia care and education to patients and their families
