Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Take the next step in your respiratory care career with an exciting opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This contract position is ideal for a dedicated clinician passionate about delivering high-quality respiratory therapies and interventions to patients across various care settings.
Key Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC Active state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Previous experience as an RRT in acute or subacute clinical environments Strong knowledge of respiratory treatments—ventilator management, airway care, and pulmonary function testing BLS and ACLS certifications (or the ability to obtain prior to start) Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and infection prevention protocols
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care and therapeutic modalities in accordance with provider orders and established protocols Monitor, assess, and respond to patient needs, adjusting ventilatory support and other interventions as necessary Participate in rapid response and code situations; assist in airway management Document assessments, treatments, and clinical outcomes accurately using electronic medical records Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and equipment usage Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure patient safety This contract position offers exposure to a variety of patient cases and technology, allowing for continued professional growth and skill development within a supportive clinical environment.
