Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel Advance your career and make a real difference by supporting surgical teams as a key member in a dynamic operating room environment. Surgical Technologists play an essential role in patient care, ensuring each procedure runs safely and smoothly. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to collaborate with skilled nursing and surgical staff in supporting optimal outcomes for both emergency and scheduled procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready Perform scrub duties to maintain the sterile field and assist surgeons during operations Provide essential support during both emergency and elective surgeries Facilitate safe and efficient patient transportation to and from the surgical suite Assist with patient preparation and supervision before, during, and after surgeries Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and patient care Keep current with best practices and education in surgical technology and related patient care topics
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a surgical technologist or operating room technician (ORT) Knowledge of operating room protocols, aseptic technique, and surgical instrumentation Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain composure and provide support during emergencies as well as routine cases Certification or completion of an accredited surgical technology program preferred This contract position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your surgical technology expertise in a supportive and professional healthcare setting.
