Job Description

As a travel RN in the stepdown unit here, you'll not only grow professionally through exposure to diverse workplace practices and collaborative leadership approaches, but also add valuable depth to your resume by working with complex cardiac, vascular, and med-surg patient populations. Schedule/Hours:
12-hour night shifts Every other weekend and holiday
Key Qualifications:
Valid RN license (Ohio or compact) Minimum 2 years stepdown/PCU experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided) Bachelor's degree in Nursing, EPIC EHR proficiency, and advanced certifications (CCRN, PCCN, or NIH Stroke Cert) are preferred but not mandatory Experience with cardiac telemetry, med-surg, vascular, and post-procedure care highly valuable
Primary Responsibilities:
Comprehensive assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care in coordination with interdisciplinary teams Administer medications and monitor advanced drips (Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Insulin, etc.) Manage a 33-bed unit with patient ratios averaging 1:5-6 on nights (subject to census) Oversee lines, drains, and devices: PICC, dialysis catheter, PEG tubes, chest tubes, and advanced airway modalities (except ventilators) Act as a clinical resource, advocate for patients and families, and ensure timely communication across departments Document telemetry strips and patient progress in
