Job Description

This travel role focuses on Progressive Care (PCU) and Oncology nursing within a mixed acuity unit, offering exposure to trauma, complex oncology diagnoses, and specialized therapies such as chemotherapy administration. Schedule/Hours:
36 hours per week, 13-week assignment 12-hour shifts (variety: days, nights, partial coverage) Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
Active RN license and minimum 1 year recent PCU and Oncology experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
ONS/ONCC
Chemotherapy certification required Willingness to take and pass an open book skills exam (90%+ required) Driver's license for compliance with travel requirements Ability to float to PCU or Med-Surg units as needed Strong teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered focus
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized care for adult oncology and trauma patients Titrate drips (insulin, cardizem), administer chemotherapy, manage IV pumps, and use specialty lift equipment Perform ventilator and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (training provided) Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, educators, and social workers Foster a culture of respect and inclusivity through compassionate patient interactions
