Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary:

Are you an experienced and reliable Security Officer looking for a new and exciting experience? River City Security & Investigations is currently seeking skilled unarmed security officers for 36 hours of full time work in the Port Sulphur, LA area.

Responsibilities include:

• Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure the safety and security of the premises
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or breaches
• Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
• Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors, and provide assistance and guidance when needed
• Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies in the event of an emergency or criminal activity
• Conduct regular checks of equipment, such as CCTV cameras, to ensure proper functioning

Qualifications:

• 1 year of security experience is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and a working phone.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in security-related fields is a plus
• Must be reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
• Knowledge of CPR, first aid, and other emergency response procedures
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Understanding of loss prevention techniques and practices
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
