at Aerotek in Riverdale, Illinois, United States Job Description Union Welder 1st Shift | $22
  • 30 What You'll Do + Perform MIG and flux-core welding on stainless and carbon steel components + Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to meet job specifications + Weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead) + Work with material thicknesses ranging from ¼" to ¾" + Assist with basic fabrication tasks, including fitting and prep work + Follow established safety, quality, and union work practices + Work alongside a team of skilled welders to complete custom projects + Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment + Adapt to different jobs and work orders as projects change What We're Looking For + 3+ years of MIG or flux-core welding experience or a formal welding certification + Experience welding stainless and carbon steel + Strong ability to read blueprints and weld symbols + Comfortable welding in all positions + Experience working with steel from ¼" to ¾" thick + Basic fabrication skills to support welding and assembly + Ability to lift 50+ lbs as part of daily work Shift & Pay + 1st Shift + $22•28/hour , based on experience + Union position Why This Opportunity + Union role with steady 1st-shift hours + Variety of custom work•not repetitive production welding Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverdale, IL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00
  • $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
