POSITION TITLE

Utility Operator Afternoon Shift-Hiram GRADE:

Hourly Position Statement The position holder is primarily responsible for the efficient and SAFE production of parts that are on time, within specification, and within planned cost. The major areas of emphasis of this position include: safe operation of production equipment, process setup and adjustment, process troubleshooting, and housekeeping. Key Relationships Internal  Reports to the Production Supervisor  Interacts directly with other manufacturing personnel  Interacts frequently with Technical, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Planning personnel. External  Interacts with customers at our facilities and occasionally in the field.. Responsibility/ Accountability Performance Measures Ability to perform all duties required of a Production reports, training records Production Operator. Ability to set up production equipment and jobs Training records, setup records according to specifications, work instructions, and S.O.P. Ability to gauge material tolerances according to Reject reports the S.O.P., print, and inspection report requirements. Monitor & operate machines safely and Accident reports, work orders responsibly for proper and safe operation. Visually inspect rubber to ensure it meets Training records, reject reports Mantaline and Customer quality standards Gauge product using a length gauge, calipers, Training records, reject reports check plugs, comparator, densimeter, and all other measuring equipment required. Coordinate supplies to ensure availability of packaging, prints, gauges, specifications, and tooling for swift and accurate machine setup. Continually strive to reduce setup time within the assigned work area. Sort discrepant product Update next shift regarding jobs being run and/or problems encountered. General housekeeping. The operator is responsible and accountable for a clean work area. Advise the supervisor or lead immediately of any deviation to the production plan, this includes the job running, scrap amounts, and required production quantity. All other duties as assigned by the shift leader Perform all duties in accordance with Mantaline's quality system General Requirements  Ability to lift, pull, or carry up to 40 lbs. 40% to 70% of the time. Educational/Professional Requirements  High school diploma or G.E.D. desired. Forklift Certification Preferred.
