SPY/FCS Radar Technician

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking experienced FCS Technicians to be part of our experienced radar team. This position will be located in Wallops Island, VA at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC). The SCSC provides live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric, maritime environment to develop, test, evaluate and conduct fleet operations and training for the warfighter. Radar systems (SCSC supports:

SPY1-A, SPY-1B, 1D, 1D

(V), Multi-Mission System Processor ( MMSP ) and BMD Signal Processor (BSP) variants), MK99 FCS, and MK84 Power conversion systems are properly configured, operational and available to support test events. The candidate will also work closely with systems engineers to activate new advanced radar systems; Troubleshoot and repair complex radar and AEGIS combat system casualties; Support fleet readiness events, and large multi-system multi-platform Operational test events. This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education and years of experience required: High School/GED and 3 or more years of demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance on systems and equipment. Successful candidate must be willing and able to perform in a variety of 40 hour work-week configurations, including: 1. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 1st Shift 2. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 2nd Shift 3. Variable 4 x 10 shifts that may include weekends (4 days on/3 days off) and may be 1st or 2nd shift 4. Sliding (5 x 8) work weeks (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) and may be 1st or 2nd shift •

The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
