Radar systems (SCSC supports:SPY1-A, SPY-1B, 1D, 1D
(V), Multi-Mission System Processor ( MMSP ) and BMD Signal Processor (BSP) variants), MK99 FCS, and MK84 Power conversion systems are properly configured, operational and available to support test events. The candidate will also work closely with systems engineers to activate new advanced radar systems; Troubleshoot and repair complex radar and AEGIS combat system casualties; Support fleet readiness events, and large multi-system multi-platform Operational test events. This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education and years of experience required: High School/GED and 3 or more years of demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance on systems and equipment. Shall be certified as a Maintenance Person in accordance with PQS 301, referenceNAVEDTRA
43241-K, if not certified at time of hire, will be required to become certified within your first 3 months of employment. Successful candidate must be willing and able to perform in a variety of 40 hour work-week configurations, including: 1. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 1st Shift 2. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 2nd Shift 3. Variable 4 x 10 shifts that may include weekends (4 days on/3 days off) and may be 1st or 2nd shift 4. Sliding (5 x 8) work weeks (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) and may be 1st or 2nd shift •PLEASE NOTE
- These work week configurations may be scheduled on a rotational basis Security clearance requirements: Must be eligible to obtain and then maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed an interim clearance is granted.Additional skills/experience required:
Knowledge of network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (mulit-meters, O-Scopes, Spectrum and Network Analyzers) Ability to perform Planned Maintenance System (PMS) procedures on MK99 FCS and MK84 Power conversion systems Ability to conduct fault detection/fault isolation procedures on a MK99 FCS and MK84 Power conversion systems Ability to perform Planned Maintenance System (PMS) procedures onANY/SPY-1

radar transmitter and/or signal processor Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Highly desired, but not required: Active DoD clearance The successful candidate should have Navy Technical "C" school training or civilian/commercial equivalent in MK84 and MK99 radar variants currently deployed in the fleet UNIX-based open architecture experience; ability to understand UNIX-based program commands and local area network (LAN) theory Experience withAEGIS BL9 AN/SPY-1
Multi Mission Signal Processor Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Signal Processor Knowledge of, or experience in, troubleshooting and maintaining functional equipment areas of the AEGIS Weapon System to include UYQ-70 Display equipment, ORTS or COTS-based processing systems used onboard AEGIS Ships or other military UNIX based display equipment Demonstrated operational and hardware experience on any of the following AEGIS radar systems signal processors:SPY-1A, SPY-1B, 1D, 1D
(V), Multi Mission Signal Processor (MMSP) and/or BMD Signal Processor (BSP) equipment Demonstrated operational and troubleshooting experience with the MK-99 Fire Control System (FCS), ORTS andMK-84 400HZ
converters Experience interfacing and working closely with US Navy personnel, civilian government personnel and technical representatives from government contractors Pay Information This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA).
