Available for immediate hire Position Overview Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking an Air Asset Coordinator. The Air Asset Coordinator plans, coordinates, schedules, and supports the execution of aviation assets used during military exercises and operational training events. Working closely with government personnel, military aviation units, exercise planners, and support agencies, the Air Asset Coordinator ensures aviation resources are effectively integrated into exercise objectives while maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and mission readiness. The successful candidate will possess aviation operations experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both military and civilian personnel. This position requires flexibility to support operations during non-standard working hours and in varying environmental conditions. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the coordination of air assets in support of military exercises, training events, and operational activities. Coordinate with aviation units, exercise planners, and supporting organizations to ensure air assets are available and properly scheduled. Monitor air support requirements and communicate operational updates to stakeholders. Support the planning, execution, and synchronization of aviation activities associated with training exercises. Prepare and deliver briefings to military and civilian personnel regarding air operations and exercise support activities. Maintain records, schedules, reports, and documentation related to air asset coordination efforts. Provide administrative support as needed to facilitate exercise planning, execution, and after-action reporting. Assist with operational planning meetings, coordination conferences, and exercise support activities. Support operations conducted outside normal business hours as mission requirements dictate. Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable security, safety, and operational requirements. Required Qualifications S. Citizen. Active SECRET Security Clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI access. Demonstrated experience in air operations , aviation coordination, flight operations, or related aviation support activities. Ability to effectively brief military and civilian personnel on operational plans, schedules, and mission updates. Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills. Ability to perform services outside of normal working hours for extended periods and in all weather conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced operational environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Previous military aviation experience. Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, or Special Operations exercises. Familiarity with aviation scheduling and exercise planning processes. Experience coordinating air assets in support of complex training events. Knowledge of military command structures, aviation terminology, and operational procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of aviation operations and air asset coordination principles. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing operational requirements. Strong briefing, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with military personnel, government representatives, and civilian stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Ability to maintain professionalism in high-tempo operational environments. Physical Requirements Ability to work long hours as required in support of exercises and operational events. Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions for extended durations. Ability to travel as required to support exercise operations. Must be physically capable of supporting exercise and aviation coordination activities in field and operational environments.
