Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Installer / Field Service Technician with strong electromechanical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience. You'll be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and maintaining VLMs and related warehouse automation systems. This role demands professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in the field. Key Responsibilities Install, assemble, and commission Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs), conveyors, and automated warehouse systems according to manufacturer specifications. Diagnose and repair electromechanical equipment and systems. Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, including low-voltage switches and sensors. Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Use a multimeter accurately for diagnostics and measurements. Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools (skills test may be required). Collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve complex issues. Maintain accurate job logs and documentation. Adhere to company safety standards and professional quality protocols. Travel nationwide (up to 100%) for installations and service work. Qualifications 3+ years of verifiable experience in electromechanical systems, industrial installation, or a related trade. Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability. Experience with low-voltage systems, sensors, and control panels. Generic PLC experience preferred. Skilled in using a multimeter and hand/power tools safely and effectively. Able to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to fly frequently and travel extensively. Able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights. Experience with VLMs (Modula, Kardex, Hänel, Sencorp White) and/or conveyor systems is a strong plus. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or associate degree a plus.
