Veterinary Assistant - 1 year experience required

Seeking to one or two hardworking, dependable professionals to fill a position as a veterinary assistant in a small animal veterinary facility in Midland, Georgia. Must have good computer skills, be able to lift 40 pounds, and have good communication skills with clients and co-workers. This is a great job for a self-starter who enjoys working with pets and people.

Duties include:

• Full-time employment
• Some holidays and weekends required
• Assisting technicians and doctors in the exam rooms and during surgical procedures
• Performing laboratory testing, filling prescriptions, sterilizing surgical instruments
• Walking, feeding, and medicating animals in hospital
• Performing dental cleaning and assisting with radiographs
• Client education on medications and health concerns

Requirements:
