Position Summary:
Veterinary Assistants support patient care by working closely with veterinarians and technicians to ensure a safe, efficient, and compassionate clinical experience for both patients and clients. Assistants help with patient handling and restraint, diagnostics, catheter placement, client education, and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment. Support staff members are also cross-trained in basic client service responsibilities. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy urgent care setting. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, stay engaged, and grow their skills through hands-on experience and mentorship. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to patient safety are essential for success in this role.Benefits:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to: Work and adhere to a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace. Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time. Flexible work schedule with the ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays (excluding Christmas). Maintain confidentiality of all information received or learned while working at UPC.Education/Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required. College degree preferred or 2-year technical degree. 1+ year of experience in veterinary medicine.Benefits:
