Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician/Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and expertise will play a vital role in providing exceptional care for animals and outstanding service to pet owners. This energetic position combines hands-on animal care with front-desk responsibilities, creating a lively environment focused on compassion, professionalism, and teamwork. You will be the friendly face greeting clients, managing appointments, and assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, all while ensuring every pet receives the highest quality of care. Duties Greet clients warmly and manage appointment scheduling efficiently to ensure smooth clinic operations Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals, preparing equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques Handle animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, and monitoring health status to promote well-being Perform laboratory tests (Idexx and Abaxis) and assist with diagnostic procedures including X-ray imaging and sample collection Maintain detailed medical records, update patient histories, and document treatments accurately using veterinary terminology Provide pet care advice to clients on topics like pet grooming, nutrition, behavior training (including dog training), and general animal care Support animal restraint during procedures such as catheterization or administering medications while ensuring safety for both animals and staff Experience Must have at least 1 year of veterinary experience Must be on time daily, job starts at 7:30 am Monday thru friday Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care practices is essential Experience with laboratory work, X-ray operation, or veterinary technician duties will set you apart Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to pet dental health is a plus Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism and compassion We are looking for someone who is able to work the front desk and have technician duties. someone who is responsible enough that if things are covered in whatever area they are working to check with other area to see if help is needed.
