VT Secondary Winder (3rd Shift)

SUMMARY Prepare secondaries for further processing by securing the bobbins into a winding machine and winding copper wire onto steel bobbins. Apply mylar and strip insulation from wires before sending product to next work station.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Verify material you will work with is correct according to your work order. 2. Inspect bobbins to be sure it is not torn or damaged. 3. Load paper tubes on to the winding machine. 4. Apply mylar for protection. 5. Send wound tubes to next workbench. 6. Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent next workstation. 7. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) 8. Complete daily/weekly production logs 9. Communicate with operators from other shifts. 10. Clean and maintain work area. 11. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. 12. Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Perform back-up for assemblers. 2. Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1.

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. 3. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. 4. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery. 5. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required #LI-DNI 3rd Shift Differential $1.20
