Volunteer - Recreation City of Auburn, WA - 3.7 Auburn, WA Job Details Volunteer 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Position Details Auburn Parks, Arts, and Recreation offers a wide variety of classes, programs, and community events for participants of all ages. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to serve as leaders, coaches, and mentors for youth ages 1-18. Volunteer opportunities include supporting summer camps, recreational programs, specialized recreation, skill-building activities, general and specialty themed classes, and special community events. Volunteers are needed in the following programs: Summer Camps Bike Programs Specialized Recreation Programs Special Events Teen Programs Other recreational programs and activities Primary Duties Ability to be a positive role model and mentor Follow directions from program leaders/recreation staff Encourage participation and engagement in recreational activities Assist small groups of youth in skill-building and team-based activities Support fellow staff and volunteers in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment Provide excellent communication and customer service to participants, families, and residents Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 16 years old Ability to pass a background check completed by the City of Auburn Additional Information
