Summary The Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift) has primary responsibility for facilitating timely and effective operations within the Auburn, KY Warehouse, ensuring that the productivity of staff is at optimum performance and that all inbound and outbound items are processed accurately and on a timely basis. Responsibilities Safety Ensure team compliance to Company's policies, practices and procedures related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and the Environment Role model and expect safe workplace behavior Report all safety incidents for department and conduct incident investigation to determine root cause & implement effective corrective actions Ensure Warehouse meets HACCP and GMP requirements Leadership Provide direction and supervision to diverse workforce of employees Recruit, hire, train and manage employee performance Provide daily direction to team and ensure job tasks are done efficiently and safely Manage time & attendance of team Warehouse In collaboration with Warehouse Manager, prepare and distribute order plans Document and communicate any productivity issues Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries Maintain records, utilize specialized reports, and document relevant information to calculate warehouse performance Conduct cycle counts as required, participate inventory counts Control, organize storage and inventory space Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments Other Consult and organize activities with other teams and departments Perform other related duties as assigned Provide back-up for day and afternoon Warehouse Supervisors during absences Manage Continuous Improvement initiatives within the warehouse - lean warehousing and Green Belt six sigma would be desirable Any other duties as needed Requirements 5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or related environment Post-secondary education in related field such as Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Project Management is considered an asset, but not a requirement Intermediate MS Office skills required, experience in M3 (ERP System) and/or UKG considered an asset Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Ability to successfully complete pre-employment process Working Conditions Working conditions are in a pet food production warehouse environment, with exposure to dust, noise, odors, and/or fluctuating temperatures This position is on 2nd Shift; Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday from 3:00pm-11:30pm. Hours can vary. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals Job duties require physical exertion, including the ability to manually lift up to 50 pounds while using established safe lift procedures Work activities will include both indoor and outdoor environments Come as you are. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).
