Warehouse Technician

Job Summary (Why does job exist?) This Warehouse Technician reports directly to the Supply Chain Supervisor and is responsible for receiving, storing, stocking, and tracking all large components and materials shipped to and from the warehouse or other storage areas. This person will also be responsible for reporting damaged stock items, keeping the warehouse database current, maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion, keeping storage records, and other duties as required. This position is to support the warehousing duties in support of Longview's 700 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Generating Station.

ESSSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate Forklifts and other equipment used for loading and unloading large components and materials. Receive, Count, Stock and Record items manually and electronically. Work with Supervisor to determine proper storage methods. Pack and Ship items as required. Verify accuracy of shipping documents & materials. Store items in an orderly fashion as required by the Supply Chain Supervisor. Label stocked items as required per Longview Power Policy. Clean and maintain the Warehouse and other storage areas. Maintain equipment storage records. Operate Forklifts and other equipment used for loading and unloading large components and materials. Inspect stocked items for wear, damage, defects, lubrication, and other abnormalities. Store and Rotate stock as necessary in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Ability to drive company vehicle both on and off site to pick up or deliver materials. Comply with all safety & Environmental policies, practices and procedures. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Clean warehouse and other storage areas as required. Maintain stored equipment in "as received" or better condition. Assist other Warehouse personnel as required. And any other duties as assigned to meet the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of this organization
